EIFER at JRI 2026 conference: biogas and methanation in focus

The Journées de Recherche et d’Innovation (JRI 2026) took place in Nancy from 17 to 19 March, bringing together researchers, experts, and stakeholders from the biogas and methanation sector. Over three days, the event featured scientific presentations, technical exchanges, and thematic discussions addressing current developments and future challenges in renewable gas production.

EIFER contributed to the programme with a presentation entitled “Dynamiques du biométhane en France : trajectoires, limites et perspectives.” The contribution explored recent trends in biomethane development in France, highlighting key pathways, constraints, and perspectives for the sector.

JRI 2026 provided a valuable forum for interdisciplinary dialogue and knowledge exchange, strengthening links between research, innovation, and operational stakeholders across the biogas and methanation value chains.
