EIFER hosts U2Demo General Assembly in Karlsruhe

EIFER hosted the 3rd General Assembly of the Horizon EU project U2Demo in Karlsruhe. Participants from all project partners attended the event, sharing insights on the various tools developed and collaborating on a strategic roadmap for their real-life application across the project’s four demo sites.
Building on these developments, EIFER recently submitted Deliverable D4.2, which provides advanced forecasting and data analytics algorithms to support decision-making by energy community members and managers. The deliverable includes both a comprehensive report and four open-source, production-grade software tools, covering time series forecasting, optimisation, and energy resource scheduling. These tools have been validated with real operational data and are ready for integration into the U2Demo platform, reinforcing the project’s practical impact.

The programme also included a visit to the Energy Lab (ELab) at KIT Campus North, hosted by Prof. Hagenmeyer and Simon Waczowicz. The visit enabled exchanges on potential PhD collaborations with the KIT chair and further discussions on future joint activities, including possible Horizon EU proposals and continued cooperation between KIT, EIFER, and the U2Demo consortium.
