EIFER present at the inaugural GeoAI 2026 Conference

EIFER was represented at the 1st GeoAI Conference in Ghent, Belgium, from 3–6 June 2026. The event brought together researchers, companies, and public-sector organisations to showcase the latest advances in geospatial artificial intelligence, providing valuable insights into the rapidly evolving field and its potential applications for future EIFER projects.

During the conference, Isaac presented a paper co-authored with Hubert, entitled “Augmentation of Geospatial Embedding Models with Urban Morphometrics” (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20314975).

The contribution highlights EIFER’s growing expertise in geospatial AI and its active participation in the international research community. With geospatial AI becoming increasingly relevant to EIFER’s activities, participation in future editions of the GeoAI Conference is envisaged.
