PEPPER: Developing next-generation proton-conducting ceramic electrolysis cells (PCCELs) | 4th consortium meeting & mid-term review meeting

The 4th consortium meeting and the mid-term review meeting of the European-funded PEPPER project, which is developing the next-generation electrolysis technology based on planar proton-conducting ceramic electrolysis cells (PCCELs), took place in the northly Tallinn, Estonia, hosted by the company ELCOGEN. Over two intensive days, PEPPER team reviewed recent scientific results and ongoing research activities, with a focus on cell and stack development, two key pillars of PEPPER’s technological advancement, and presented the results obtained during the 1st half of the project to the project officer and two selected external reviewers. The first comments from the reviewing panel was very positive, and a more detail feedback is expected within the next weeks. Participants also visited ELCOGEN’s facilities, gaining insights into the manufacturing and up-scaling processes used within the PEPPER project.
